All My Trails Lead to Longs
This painting of Longs Peak and Mount Meeker are my favorite peaks in all of Colorado. I see them every day and they keep me absolutely fixated to this day. Which is exactly why I wanted to honor them in a painting!
Maroon Bell Fantasy
This is one of my favorite paintings for many reasons and has hung on my personal wall at home for many years. It has some of my favorite mountain flowers: columbines, lupine, poppies and aster daisies. My favorite color is yellow so aspen trees are also another beloved Colorado sight. Believe it or not though, I've never been to the Maroon Bells! These mountains are absolutely stunning, but the mass crowds at the main view are not.
Eyes on Fire Over Lily Lake
This is a commissioned painting of Lily Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. Wanting to remember their first hike in the park and incorporate their love for the band Tool, this was a fun piece to do!
Mars on Earth Sunrise
After a week long trip to Utah, I was thoroughly inspired by the color pallets of the desert. When I got back from my trip, I made a painting inspired by several landscapes I was able to explore. Utah will always be one of my favorite places to visit.
Lost in the Mirage
Lost in the landscapes of my mind, Utah stayed on my mind long after I came home. This painting also has a secret spot I've seen online I'm still in search of. A metaphorical portal into the deserts that have touched my heart.
Island Lake Through the Eyes of an Aspen Tree
On one adventure down a 4x4 trail, I passed a chunk of aspen tree bark on the side of the road. The artist in my mind screamed "CANVAS!", so I threw it in reverse and hopped out to grab it. Once I got it home, it took further processing to get it to be an appropriate canvas to paint on and for the outside bark to be preserved, but it was that day that the bark canvas came to be!
Snowy Rainbows at Dream Lake
A commissioned piece of Dream Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park, is another memorabilia of a first winter hike. There is something so special about Rocky in the wintertime, but be prepared if you come to the Rockies in the winter. It is beautiful but inhospitable.
Walk Like a Dead Bear
This was a piece I made for my husband whom loves the Grateful Dead. Since we met at a Dead concert, those themes always find their way into my creations for my partner.
First Aspen Tree Bark Experiments
When I first started making canvases out of pieces of aspen tree bark, I started small. I broke a larger chunk apart and ended up with these beauties! All these have found their way to homes, but I have several blank pieces just screaming to be painted!
Sunny Flatiron Days
This painting was inspired by a day spent out at the Flatirons. It was a sunny and perfect day that I enjoyed with two of my dogs.
Starry Skies Over Horsetooth
One of the first hikes I did when I moved to Colorado was Horsetooth! It is a fun and quick hike located outside of Fort Collins and can be seen almost anywhere in town!
